The trainers who have had the most impact on the Gardiner program includes multiple SBF Champion Doug Williamson, who rode Hes Wright On to his major wins.  “When we purchased Hes Wright On, Doug & Carol made us feel right at home in their program,” Garth says. “It made it a lot easier to leave Hes Wright On in California with them knowing the love and passion that they have for him is just as strong as ours is.”

Amanda attributes a piece of their programs success and their success as NRCHA competitors to Todd Crawford.  “Garth and I fell into this sport by helping a friend we roped with. We entered an AQHA Cowhorse class.  Our friends talked us around the corner and down the fence; I remember making my first right turn and grinning from ear to ear the rest of the run.  Later that week, I called Todd.  I knew nothing about the reined cowhorse other than what I had just experienced.  Todd didn’t know me from Adam, but he welcomed us.  He is honest, and he has always treated us with respect and taught us so much.  Garth and I think the world of both Todd and Pam and consider them dear friends."

In the summer of 2012, Kelby Phillips went to work as the resident trainer for Gardiner Quarter Horses. Phillips' talent and competitive drive lead him to the winners circle on several occasions in 2013, showing the oldest and only 2009 model Hes Wright On offspring, Shes Wright On. However, Phillips crowning achievement was found at the 2013 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity where he piloted Hickory Holly Time to the Intermediate Open Championship. That win was only made better by showing Gardiner bred and raised Bed Head Cat to an 8th place finish in the Intermediate Finals and an 11th place finish in the Open futurity. Phillips continues to show Hickory Holly Time for the Gardiner's as he and his wife Abby build their training business together.

January 2014 found the incredibly talented couple, Anthony and Erin Taormino in Southwest Kansas. The couple had spent the previous 5 1/2 years working for Todd Bergen in Oregon, and arrived in Kansas with an incredible foundation and program in which they began implementing from day one. The couple is an amazing team with Anthony's time focused on the babies up to 2 yr olds and Erin riding the 3 yr olds and other Limited Aged horses. Gardiner Quarter Horses is taking the idea of teaming up for success to a new level!
